eScribeDroid is an online speech-to-text service for people with hearing impairment. With one tap it connects the user to a human transcriber who types the spoken speech captured by the device microphone in real time. The app optionally supports transcription of phone calls.

The app does not collect the advertising identifier (AD_ID), location, contacts or
camera data. Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics SDKs are bundled with the app, but data
collection is disabled in the device manifest
(firebase_analytics_collection_enabled=false, firebase_crashlytics_collection_enabled=false).

Transfers outside the EU/EEA (Twilio, Google) are governed by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
All communication between the app and the servers is encrypted (TLS 1.2+, MQTT over TLS on port 8883). Passwords are stored in hashed form. Access to personal data inside the organisation is role-based.
You have the right to access your personal data, request rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.cz). Please direct your requests to podpora@transkript.cz.
You can delete your account and the related data directly in the app from the user settings menu. Alternatively, you can request deletion by e-mail to podpora@transkript.cz; e-mail requests are handled within 30 days.
The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly process personal data of children under 13. If we become aware of such data we will delete it without undue delay.
The current version is always available at https://data.transkript.cz/policy.html.
Users will be notified of substantial changes from within the app.
